In March of 2022 I started contracting at Meta as a Senior Technical Program Manager and enjoyed the work. My contract was scheduled to run through June of 2023 but due to contractor headcount reductions ended on December 31, 2022 I have 15 years experience as a PM / PgM / TMP and while my specialty is HW Infrastructure I am very comfortable with SDLC, Agile, and Scrum. I had my resume professionally updated last year and tweak it for each job I apply for. Over the last 9 weeks I have applied for over 400 FT and contract roles. The majority of the contract roles simply never materialize and recruiters filling FT roles simply don't respond. So far I have struck out at T-Mobile, Starbucks, Blue Origin, Apple, Alaska, Albertsons, AT&T, Childress Hospital, Direct TV, Myers Squib, BECU, Nike, Lulu, Nvidia, providence, prudential, PWC, Sandmar, Zillow, Sound Transit, PGE, and a dozen more. I try and get referrals whenever possible but I'm now at the point where I'm ready to take a 50% pay cut just to get a job as a Project Manager. I'm open to on-site in the greater Seattle WA area, hybrid or remote. If you know of a good position please ping me directly. Any luck?
Updated Status 3/15/23 Zillow: There was a job I was super excited about and got an employee referral but never heard from the recruiter - crickets Blue Origin - Applied for 3 roles and was contacted by a recruiter who spent a month trying to get me an interview with the hiring manager but it just never happened. Expedia - Completed full interview loop and I'm the top candidate but position on hold for now due to re-org. T-Mobile - Hiring manager kept telling me the recruiter would contact me but never did Microsoft - Verbal offer from recruiter and offer letter going though senior leadership I probably had 50 contract roles that the company opened up and then put on hold. Live the hurry up and wait.
Looks like Microsoft might be your best bet

How did this happen? (Meta Stock)
I would look at consulting firms if really desperate, but be prepared for a low pay, close to 50% of your previous pay. There are some good medical device companies but they would look for those who have some medical device development experience with your yoe I guess. Good luck.
This. Recommend looking at med devices because a TPM’s role actually gains more credibility because of the complexity of the programs and the certification process. What you lose out on in TC, you may gain in terms of meaning and value to the role.
