Nice gesture though.
Violated or not, is the right thing to do!
If you thought this was real for a second, that's not how the employee discount works..
Curious how this works at apple. I used to have a discount at a hardware company I worked for. It was pretty limited, like essentially buying one computer per year would cover it.
There is most likely a limit on employee discount. Marc can totally use it without abuse for whoever they want, like a friend they just made.
Thats not how the employee discount works lmao. He’d have to get a manager to approve a 10% apple employee discount. He probably gave a general corporate discount
Regardless, it's such a cringe thing to share. Can't people have a shred of self respect?
Why is he ratting Marc out? What happened to John Doe?
What kind of tool calls the salespeople Geniuses? Sounds like a justified RIF.
To hell with these stupid company policies and specialty the morons who support these policies. Every man/woman from janitor to CEO is standing for themselves in corporate, no shame in accepting that. If you want high ethics job join military
Wtf is this an annual training refresher question
I don't know who is more clueless here: - Marc offering his "employee discount" to a complete stranger who probably didn't need it - the person who was the beneficiary of this misplaced act of kindness. I am all for helping people, but you aren't doing anyone any favors by sharing a story that could get someone fired because you wanted to share this experience. Don't people have common sense anymore? You don't have to share everything on your social media feed.
Hes not gonna get fired bc you just cant add an apple employee discount to any transaction. Dude probably got a regular corporate EPP discount
Regardless if you can or not, it's still a bad judgement call for Marc and the other guy.
