Does someone know if fidelity lets retail investors transfer equities to Hongkong exchange? Want to be ready in case same happens to baba and many others
Same question, I think will sell tomorrow
It is extremely unlikely (but possible) that stocks like baba, nio, etc. are getting delisted. Reason that Didi got delisted was because they have mapping data of china (think google maps) and they were explicitly asked by CCP to not list in new York stocks exchange. But Didi defied those orders and went ahead with listing in NY exchange anyways. The only reason baba, nio, etc. will get delisted it if they refuses to open their books for audits.
But that doesn't mean that stock can't go down because of fear
This article might shed some light for you https://www.scmp.com/business/article/3158552/chinas-regulator-soothes-nervous-markets-over-chinese-stocks-delisting
Read some more.. it is not that easy to get delisted.. the process can take upto 3 years.. situation can evolve a lot in this time.. i am not saying buy.. but i dont see a point in dumping all and taking a loss
Same for me. And delisting will happen only if these companies refuse to show their books for audits
Yep..
This is a golden opportunity to buy into Nio, Baba and Tencent! They are not going to be delisted. Not happening.
What does this mean, we can’t trade it on new exchange (may be on HK/Singapore) ?
