Got a verbal offer from Fidelity for a Director (IC) role (160K base + 30%bonus + 10% prof sharing (after 12 mths)) There are no RSUs or joining bonus. Is that typical at Fidelity? 16+YOE TC: 210K #fidelity #fidelityinvestments #compensation #offer
Yes. Fidelity typically will give “performance shares” based on performance, not at the start. Also, because they are a private company, they don’t have RSUs. I will also add they are an amazing company to work for. They invest in their people and treat them with respect. Also, you can always count on the bonus and profit sharing. Although they say bonus is not guaranteed, as long as you do good work, bonus is predictable. It is also not uncommon to get over 100% of your eligible bonus.
Thanks! This is helpful.
My pleasure
To all the haters, fidelity has some good WLB, great for the chill life.
Fidelity really needs to think about their salary structure. This seems way too low for Director level. I would rather take a smaller title for the same pay and not have the pressures of a Director
What does a director at fidelity do? I agree it seems like a mid level engineer salary with added responsibilities
This offer is easily 260k tc if you consider 401 and extra shares director get.. Their is lot of hidden component at fidelity. Consider this as 250+ offer just more contributions into 401 as it is private company so no rsu component but they have other shares which can be considered decent for good performers ..
