What is the internal levelling for a non tech director role in Ford? Are there multiple levels within Director role? Also will a director in Ford map to L7/senior manager in Amazon? #auto
West coast
Director at Ford is LL3 LL4 is senior manager LL2 is executive level
I've seen LL5 director roles as well
Just cosmetics
agree, any LL5 who says they’re directors are kidding themselves
IC s at LL4+ levels are fellows I believe
I think the other guys got you covered but I’ll add mapping to Amazon. We have more management levels at Ford: L6 - LL6 L7 - LL5/LL4 L8 - LL3/LL2 The consensus as you have seen is for real Directors to be LL4+ but you will find that there are LL5s in multiple areas who get a director name but remain senior management in scope. I cannot recall any directors (LL4+) who are IC but I’ve seen LL5s ICs with titles such as Principal (same as Amazon L7 ICs)
Latitude AI has more traditional leveling. TAL. Though not sure there are director level positions open.

There are usually multiple levels for a Director Role. Director is usually an LL3 level but there are some LL4 Director’s too. Hint: Lower the LLx higher the position. I’d doubt there are many Director level people from Ford on Blind. Is this role in CA or MI?
Can director level role be IC? What is usually the bonus % and stocks?
As far as I know there aren’t any IC Director levels at Ford. Not sure if it’s different in SWE. Is this a tech or non tech role?
