Offer I am receiving from DMED for P2 position: Base: $90,000 Sign on RSUs:$90,000 vested over 3 years Sign on: $25,000 Yearly bonus of 7% of base Yearly stock refresher of 25% of base vested over 3 years Breakdown of TC by year Year 1: $123,750 Year 2: $133,800 Year 3: $141,300 Location: Remote (Georgia) YOE: 2 I think base should be higher, I am thinking closer to $115,000 if not $120,000 and some more RSUs. They seem to not be willing to move on the base at all and that is my sticking point. Thoughts? Also please comment on WLB.
So basically if this is true, you're getting an absolute steal holy hell lol
But yes, that base is low. As a P2 in Florida, my base is 120k. Yearly bonus is the same as yours though
Whatβs your YOE? & did you get hired with that base?
Only a little more than you, I have 3 YOE. No, I got hired at 108k base and then got a random "market leveling" increase the other week that brought me to 120k. I also tried negotiating for a larger base when I was hired and they also told me that it's set-in-stone, which is why I thought the random raise was pretty humorous because its what I wanted to begin with. Appreciated it for sure, but still funny.
Does Disney have any remote positions?
Yes, you can see what is remote and what isn't on the careers page for Disney
Howβs the interviews process?
I will have to try disney again. I just got a contract job with Universal
How do you like Uni? A lot of my coworkers around the company went over to build Epic Universe. Iβm thinking about it.
Just so you're aware, Universal pays less than Disney for SWE and engineering in general. Just in case that's what you're caring about.
I've heard WLB at Disney is pretty good!
Anyone knows what's the TC can be for a P5 role based out of Orlando. I am expecting an offer but would like to know what to expect.
How long did it take you to hear back?
Still waiting !!!
What's the P level breakdown at Disney? Just got an offer for a Senior Manager but no P level given
Not sure if managers fall under a different category, just ask your recruiter and she will tell you.
Congratulations on the offer ? Managers would have M levels. Probably someone at Disney might be able to tell you. Can you please share the numbers of your offer. It would help others in the process. Thanks.

Biden wants to raise capital gains tax to 40%
Wtf I only got 30k RSUs when I got hired 2 months ago as a P2 in Enterprise Tech??????? How do you have 100% RSU?! P2 is only supposed to have between 25% and 35%??? 100% RSU is literally higher than what executives get (90%)
Itβs simple. Disney loves to screw over their employees. Itβs the reason why most of us are leaving.
Ehhhh agree to disagree there. I personally only started a couple months back, but I come from a Disney employee family and even my spouse is an employee and so I've been around all of this for a long while. Its why I joined Disney myself. Whenever CMs/employees are getting screwed, it tends to not be entirely on purpose or with malicious intent. At least, not any more malicious than any other large corporation. In my example here vs OP, I think there may be some sort of miscommunication as that level of sign-on RSU is completely unheard of.
