Planning a trip to Disney Magic Kingdom. If you have been there previously can you kindly suggest things that i need to consider Data on the website looks confusing How do we get discounts on tickets? Is it better to buy any packages? How many days should be ideal to spend? What time and season is the best? Other things to try? Are Hotels at the park worth? Also would like to know which Disney park is the best for 4 year old? Disney land LA vs Magic kingdom Florida I have a 4 year old. Need to travel from Seattle#
If you do Disney World, then you need at least a week just for the parks. More if you want to go to Universal, Sea World, etc. For the full effect and the least amount of transportation headaches, stay at a Disney resort. The bus, boat, or gondola can take you right from your resort to thr parks and back. And if you buy anything in the parks just give your room number and they can deliver it so you don't have to lug around a 5ft Minnie Mouse. Season shouldn't matter, since the parks never fill up in Orlando, and the weather is hot and humid year round. Disneyland is more iconic and there's a different vibe. In LA you will find 75% locals and more diehard Disney fans. Everyone wears mickey and Minnie ears. It's also the only park Walt Disney personally visited. Much smaller though and 1/10 the number of hotels to choose from (though there isn't as much of a need to stay at a Disney resort. Save your money and stay nearby, but definitely rent a car (SUV actually). Only 2 parks and you can do them in 3 days tops. Maybe a better option for a 4 year old to reduce the walking. For the season, go after the holidays but before the summer, so mid January to late May to avoid the crowds. It won't rain whenever you go.
The Florida parks are more expansive and numerous, but that flight from Seattle can be brutal with a four-year-old. Plus, your kid isn’t really able to form lasting memories until they’re five or so. I’d recommend going to Disneyland in Anaheim first to get a sense of how you and your family enjoy it. Then, if you’re all into it, you can take a trip to FL in the future when the kid is easier to manage, more likely to remember it, and more likely to be tall enough to ride all the rides. Getawaytoday has good discounts on ticket/hotel packages. If you can afford it, staying at the Grand Californian is a great choice. It cuts down on travel time to/from the parks, which is essential with a small kid who may need to take breaks. General tips: bring a stroller for your kid. They will tire out too easily from the amount of walking you’ll do and you will neither want to deal with carrying them nor managing an overstimulated and overtired little one. The Genie+ app is basically required at this point to make the most of your time. There are many tutorials on how to get the most out of it on the web. The app is buggy and will drain your phone, so make sure you have an external battery to make it through the day. Make food reservations for every meal as soon as you can. I think they open 60 days out. If you don’t see what you want, keep checking. Sometimes reservations open closer to or on the day of your visit. A 2-3 day park hopper ticket will be sufficient. While your kid is still not beholden to a school schedule, go off season and mid-week.
if you have the opportunity to do either and you are traveling from seattle then disneyworld is definitely the way to go its just alot bigger, alot more spread out and everything is just nicer. there is also quite a bit more to do. it is essentially a huge super-resort the one gotcha is that it can get expensoive, so just plan out your costs accordingly. But honestly disneyworld is just a better experience
