Distributed systems @Salesforce
How are the teams working on distributed systems at Salesforce ? I was contacted by a recruiter for a new distributed systems team. His pitch & the JD looks promising, but nowadays even vanilla web dev roles list distributed systems among required skills. Do teams at Salesforce really work on the core distributed systems problems like consensus & consistency protocols, distributed storage etc. ? Do they have talented domain specialists ? Any input is appreciated.

I know a guy from azure core who moved to SF for a role. Not sure what the exact job description.
Core DS problems have already been solved dude.
There are always teams who implement the theoretical solutions, extend & fine-tune them further.
