Do I need to join AppD?
I got a offer in AppD engineering team. Is it a good time to join? How is the overall company performing? Any rumors on layoffs? And do we need to be in SF office all the time(hate BART) or flexible for WFH option? Any cautionary advice from insiders welcome. Thanks in advance.

Well I lasted 3 months there. Showed up dayone to a broken chair and dirty workstation. Manager was absolutely no help and intimidating af. It was one of the more toxic experiences I’ve had in SF. They let me go after 3 months (no documentation, no training, nobody to shadow, nobody to talk to). I’m a PM, and was able to find a job within a month of being let go but seriously fuck that place.
How long ago did you experience this? They are part of Cisco now so procedures should be more mature
It was this year. It was incredibly messed up.
No layoffs, if anything were growing more. There’s also flexible WFH.
Negotiate well and join. Cool culture, no layoffs , growing and interesting problems to solve. Expect standard amount of politics as you would find in any tech company but I haven’t seen ppl have a vendetta when they disagree
