I was laid-off from Snap in February. I am not sure how to answer to recruiters when they ask if you are currently working ? I generally just say yes and what I have been working on? Since no one directly asked if I was laid off, I have not offered this info. Is it wise to tell that I am not working or was laid-off to hiring managers or recruiters? What are the alternatives or what have people done in the past successfully? 🙏 Current TC: 0

Don't lie if you get asked. It can be verified with a background check. But you don't have to tell why you left.

They can disclose the period of employment though. So if OP declares that they were still employed at the time of the interview, they will fail the background check.

If your resume is current ( perhaps along with linked in ), then they may notice you are not working if you have an end month. Just tell them reorgs and you were impacted. They can read between the line or not. What they don’t want to here is any thing negative about the previous company as that could be a red flag . ( since you could do the same thing for this company since they say past behavior is an i indication of future behavior bs )
