Microsoft is huge dude, but most everything runs on Windows. Highly customized Windows though, not the consumer stuff you're used to. There's some Linux internally though, it's just not powering the big products.

Are there still issues with portability using dotnet core? Or are you on legacy .Net?
Most products are moving to .net core which promises portability. But as such its unlikely that you have to dwell into something specific to Windows
