I do know that a lot of big ad tech ad revenue comes from SMBs where ad revenue from discovery ads may be stronger than brand ads from big cap companies. TL;DR on the podcast: ads didn’t really show effectiveness (about 10% as previously thought effective) on academic studies and industry studies. Including at eBay. There is no analysis for SMBs for discovery of new businesses.
