What happens when most of your team is Indian?
My “market research” into $UBER continues. I’ll probably buy 1000 shares
Uber is headless company without a founder. Founder sold all his shares.
Yea he sold too early...
Apple co-founders?
What moat does uber provide? Lot's of popular clones exist in Asia. I feel like as soon as ridesharing becomes profitable with autonomous driving a big company like Google or Amazon can pop out an app clone.
Here’s my bet: Uber has become a noun, Kinda like Google. I feel like it’s not that easy to break into the business as you’d think. Google or Amazon will not spend $ on taking on Uber. I think you need more than just an app to make it work. They’ll need to hire lots of people that are non tech. They already have 100 other bets. I could be wrong. The TAM apparently is huge for ride sharing. The demand has been suppressed due to COVID. With COVID numbers going down🤞, we are looking at a very busy summer.
Nouns does not equal valuable investment opportunity. Examples: Kleenex, Clorox, Xerox. Why do they all end with X??
Definitely not in NYC
its useless and a headache to own cars. Always used ride apps. They give the best experience.
Driving cars is one the greatest experiences.
for me I rather sleep in the backseat while a driver drives.
Live in south bay, 2 income family, sold one car. Wife's company is in the same direction as mine. It is much cheaper to uber and can drive less.
I only got a car when I had to get a SFH, and even then I don't use it, however unless Uber does self driving it's not going to pop, and they aren't doing anything about that
Uber is useful only if u are living in high density cities where parking is not available or too costly. Anywhere else it is not a permanent option.
yes ofcourse cars are a liability and headache to maintain, park and higher risk of accidents if you self drive over an experienced uber driver.
Depends on where you live. In the heart of a major city? Many don't. In suburbia? Definitely do
