My guess is that it’s an incestuous club - seems like everyone from FB can go to Google and vice versa really easily. Meanwhile people from low tier companies like Amazon get downleveled or lowballed if we somehow pass svp review. Thoughts?
I don’t know anyone from amazon who left for google for a lower TC offer. It’s really just the shit, different day at FANG.
Yeah but everyone wants to go to google. Nobody wants to go to amazon unless they have no other choice.
Google has really, really good marketing. :)
I got rejected by Best Buy
Got rejected from Airbnb years ago, because I’m Asian male :(
So the other Asian males at Airbnb rejected you?
What makes you say that? I’m guessing they didn’t outright say it.
Are you trying to be the new 5'6 Indian?
No but I am about to start at Amazon and I’m very very afraid
Right bro, because a $1 trillion company is "low tier" lol
How people perceive us and how different our lifestyle is is what makes us inferior. People from Google are happier smarter and more photogenic than they are at Amazon.
Know a few people from google rejected by fb
Happens all the time. Don't worry.
Top companies collude not to hire each other’s workers. Don’t take it personally
They were sued for it, it doesn't happen anymore.
Correction: Two companies got caught. It most likely still happens.
Do top tier companies still make Google engineer go through phone screen or do they directly get invited to onsite?
At FB latter
