Is it worth making Alexa skills? Do people use Alexa for anything other than smart home system to turn on/off stuff or kitchen timers/alarm?

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
Judging by who was first on the chopping block…no.
Yeah, lot of bad decisions
I have created 3 Alexa skills just for fun over several years. There is zero money in making voice skills, but it’s pretty fun. 🙂
Nice, I created one when it first came out but didn't have time to maintain it and have up lol. It was pretty fun to build yeah
Wtf is “Alexa skills”??
Your own custom app on Alexa that will respond to stuff based on how you've programmed it.
Even amazon doesn’t make money off Alexa skills Lmao
It's their loss leader like Costco Chicken
Actually Alexa is not profitable now because its utility dropped down from its peak during pandemic times when the majority of the public were in the house. It is just another fancy toy. All of these conversational AI products are very much limited in its usage for the public rather it can be heavily used in robotic development.
I really don’t see anyone making meaningful money off Alexa skills. Kinda obvious.
What about beer money?
