I have very limited ML knowledge (one upper year undergraduate course) but I'm willing to put in a little effort with side projects. I want to work in Brain but as an SWE (not necessarily doing hardcore ML). Is this possible or do they look for a strong/academic ML background?
I want this. I want that. Irrespective of what you want, you need to get in line behind those PhDs in ML. Or get one yourself.
Hi I'm a PhD in ML. I have no problems having an ML SWE without a PhD in my team, as long as they can prove they can implement complex models and understand best practices in validation and testing. Leave the theorems to us and implementation and fine tuning to them
Yeah, we're kinda talking about Google here. Let's not discuss Amazon's hiring bar.
