Do you or not support universal health care like that of most other developed countries like UK, Australia etc.

Healthcare is a ridiculous rip off in US

Biased poll, skip.

Oh cool, I can block posts from specific morons.

I support universal healthcare alongside strict laws against unhealthy behaviors such as overeating, physical inactivity, etc.

This. If you are providing free health care, insist on maintaining reasonable blood cholesterol and healthy habits.

Lol that sounds like a dystopian society

My problem with universal healthcare is that it is rarely universal. Healthcare becomes politicized when the government is in control and unpopular minorities don’t get services for that which the majority disapproves of. That and the long waiting times for common conditions, e.g., UK & Canada folks that come to the U.S. for treatment rather than wait eight months.

Tableau Ydobon Feb 23, 2019

More people leave the US seeking treatment than come here, as much as 10x as many.

OpenTable Meliodas Feb 23, 2019

And those that do, trade quality for cost. I’m not interested in the cheapest solution.

This question is a wrong question to ask in the first place. Healthcare resource is limited in this country, and # of doctors graduated each year is constrained by law. Not solving the root cause, but asking whether people should have universal coverage?

The ole classic 'fuck you got mine' strategy

Microsoft rtffzz1fg Feb 23, 2019

If the fact that healthcare resource is limited does not change, you have to earn it, not to claim it.

Healthcare is crazy expensive in 🇺🇸 and shit needs to be fixed

Poll is a mistake. Universal health care is far cheaper than our current system. We pay the most (1/6 of our gdp) and get the worst care per capita of any industrialized country

OpenTable Meliodas Feb 23, 2019

No one gets sick on a per-capita basis. There is a reason the rest of the world comes here for medical care at Mayo Clinic.

Spotify KXAo87 Feb 23, 2019

Effective medicine means things like preventative care and access. Which we completely lack. We also have massive inefficiencies from a 3rd party middle man rationing care based on actuarial tables

I support basic health care for everyone. Meaning: you are diagnose with cancer, you get all your treatment paid for, you have any illness like that, and you are covered. You break a bone, you’re covered, etc. Now.... that being said: you have lung cancer cause you’re a smoker: fyou and pay up b1tch! You have bad teeth cause you’re a meth addict: go fyourself and get a second mortgage on your house to pay for a dentist... you has diabetes because you’re overweight... sorry, I’ll cover a membership to an anytime fitness, the rest is on your tab!

OpenTable Meliodas Feb 23, 2019

Exactly, you have a pregnancy, you pay for it.

Google stopsign Feb 24, 2019

What if you have diabetes because it's genetic? How are you going to distinguish between hereditary and circumstantial diseases? Hint: you can't. Meliodas: 'you have a pregnancy, you pay for it' only works if you have 100% legal abortion everywhere. I assume you support that as well, otherwise it's a very cruel thing to say. Also, there is a reason that the US has the highest rates of mother mortality in the developed world. Women are having children at home and endangering their lives and those of their infants because hospital bills are ridiculously, disproportionately high.

Support it and if done right it will lower costs by eliminating all the insurance overhead
