Simple! I don’t understand why people are complaining. Fb literally keeps their doors open and lets anyone walk in to work on their codebase. You can make any change you wish to!

Google's lack of vision and commitment. We've made a brand where if I talk to anyone else about what I do, they ask "that's all good, but how long till your company deprecates it?" Google has probably the largest collection of very smart engineers, I feel their talent is pretty much wasted - it could be used to make the world so much better (and benefit Google).

The new FB UI has destroyed some functionality for the sake of having a cohesive design/UI, for example, the activity log.
