Did interview with one of the alphabet sub companies. It went very well. After a few weeks of minor updates, recruiter said they are reprioritizing what roles to hire this year and he will update me in couple of weeks. Now I got another offer. Should I tell the recruiter I got another offer? I like to join Alphabet but there is no guarantee I guess. Don't want to accept the other offer and then not join if I get into Alphabet. Really want to leave my current company, hate it here. Marvell is a good company but sometimes team can be messy
What’s the other offer
It is a director at a start up, very interesting one
There is a chance if you tell them you have another offer they can escalate to a VP and have an offer pushed through according to my recruiter but it is not guaranteed. So, you might as well try and see. I wouldn’t wait longer than a week though.
No use. Google recruiter does not give a damn about competing offers. Your best bet is to take what you have in hand, get an offer from Google parallelly and that offer will be good for one year so join Google back if you are still interested after 1-1.5 years
Thanks, is the one year offer validation the same for all the alphabet sub companies?
Google RC still working at Google? Most are already given notice their 3rd party temp contract will not be renewed. You will be emailing or messaging or calling a dead line by Thanksgiving

Tell the recruiter and watch them suggest you take that offer and interview with Google in 1 year. Then, cry and laugh at the same time
