Any time I see this doctor, dr keeps wanting to do follow ups just to see how things progress like a few days after visit where I end up having like 4-5 appt in the month that are no more than 5 min long. Nothing really happens and I end up having to pay a lot since I’m on high deductible plan. Anyone ever have this experience and have the office do anything to help reduce cost for these “follow up”?
Low complexity follow ups on cases that are basically solved is like free money for them
Change doctor, yours isn’t busy enough or getting older and wants to milk the system.
lol just cancel them on phone. They just tryna get paid
I have experienced something similar, and you should just find a new doctor the next time you need one. When I was 24 I went to a specialist to confirm that a bump on my kidney was a cyst, and it was so the specialist said there's nothing wrong but I should come back next year "to keep an eye on it". The next time I went to my GP he told me to just stop seeing him lol
A year is a decent amount of time for a cyst to grow tbh, sounds reasonable to me
I thought the same at the time, and I would've gone back if my GP hadn't said anything, but looking back it seems like he might've just been trying to pad his schedule, idk tho 🤷🏼♂️
Sounds like insurance fraud. Doctor is happily making money off you. Report him to your insurance. It'll be funny.
Once was told, this is so many questions, lets schedule follow ups and get to know each other over time. They still charge OPs insurance 300 per 5-min visit
$$
That's awful and no I haven't experienced anything like this
