Does Apple upgrade level after the interview loop?
I will soon interview with Apple for an ICT4 role. I have a very good domain match with the team. Due to the Meta stock appreciation my compensation is now 525k per year. Apple cannot match this for ICT4. Will Apple upgrade level to ICT5 if I perform very well in interviews?

Sure - if you’re a compelling hire at ICT5 chances are they’d do it. As far as offer evaluation, just be aware that apple stock grants are roughly the same size every year assuming similar performance. IIRC meta is more of a cliff situation, where you get one large grant. So over the course of the first four years you will have ever more vesting stock. Apple’s also not very interested in competing with other companies offers though. The offer will have to do more with comparable people already at apple than with what is happening at other companies.

If you are interviewing for a Senior role (i.e ICT4) then yes you are eligible for ICT5 as well. But regardless of that its guaranteed Apple won’t go out of it’s way to match your Meta TC. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they offer ICT5 position with high ICT4 TC. I am ICT4 and gave my notice recently, while they tried to keep me but they didn’t even try giving me a counter offer.
