I have a last round interview with Deloitte. I am not getting a clear answer from recruiter, so trying to better understand. I ask does the role require a security clearance. They said it depends on who picks me. I personally don’t want a job with a security clearance, so going to ask, does most roles require it? Asking so I can save my time by ending this process now. Last thing I want it to be hired and find out they want to go that route. Or I could be forced into the route later.
The ad didn’t mention it, the job application asked if I could get it, and I frankly don’t want to risk it. I have heard too many stories of people losing their jobs after security clearance fails. I have unemployment now because laid off and don’t want to risk losing that to just possibly lose my job over a security clearance fail. Just not worth it to me right now. If I was more desperate I would risk it.
Depends on type of project. Security clearance level also varies. Some projects may require basic public trust which isn’t that hard vs some needing top clearance which is very tough.
Only if you're working on projects that require it.
