Every single popular public Instagram account‘s comments are filled with bots, mostly advertising porn, that have hundreds of fake likes each. Does Instagram not care? The app is literally filled to the brim with abuse, social engineering, and worthless content. Likes on both posts and comments are meaningless and exploitable. No account can possibly be considered safe for children with every post getting dozens of comments that say something like “I need a man to come fuck me!!!!!!!” No other social media is this terrible at moderation imo #instagram
What about Twitter or YouTube?
Literally not even close. Yes they both have bots, but the issue with fake likes isn’t nearly as bad. Likes bubble comments to the top, and Twitter and YT typically have decent replies at the top in my experience. I’m not sure how bad fake likes/views are on YT to be fair; I’m mostly talking about comments.
they don't care about anything except the $$$
Eh. I’m sure they have some team dedicated to this. I’d love to hear from them on why the problem is so rampant and unaddressed As I mentioned in another comment I don’t see how this issue wouldn’t hurt their bottom line.
It's not just the comment section. Whole profiles and posts are dogshit.
Why are you even checking the comments on Instagram??
Ask your PMs if they want users to interact with posts.
A lot for work to so but significantly better than YouTube or tik tok for instance. Hard problem to solve. If you have ideas come join and help!
Idk about tiktok but you will not convince me that Instagram comments are better than YT comments.
Yt is hands down the worst by a mile; based in data not individual experience. Lot of work to be done!

In what way? Imo it will only lose users. I don’t see any way that fake comments keep users in the app longer.
