I had received meta offer for Singapore last year and was planning to relocate from India this month. Visa process, flight and accomodation bookings are already done. I was also all set to change my company but recently I discovered that I might get a better offer for US. I still have to figure out the actual compensation part for the US offer but overall it's looking good. Though I'm little worried that if I decline meta offer now, they might ask me for full repayment after reading this clause in the offer letter: "In the event that you do not complete your relocation, you may be required to repay all or a portion of any relocation benefits paid out to you or on your behalf." Has anyone been in similar situation or know about whether big companies like Meta asks for relocation repayment in case someone declines its offer afterwards? #meta #relocation #repayment
Offer comps and tc yoe
If it's mentioned, yes they'll ask for it
First, you gotta pay the blind tax Then you get your answer
did u get US offer in Adobe itself?
Yes
Can you tell both meta and Adobe offers pls
I don't think they'll actually go through the pains of recovering the money from you - it's just not worth their time and effort. They'll probably end up losing more money trying to recover from you. You can just state that due to unforeseen personal reasons you can't make the move at this point in time. Also, do give back to the community by stating the FB level/offer details.
