I already got my 140 in my previous company. If I join the OCI, Will the manager approve the green card request at ease?
You need to ask a manager first before joining. Yes we do have a day 1 but it totally depends on manager so get the confirmation first
Yes they can approve green card with director or VP approval on day 1. Immigration team will not start the process without approval from management
I had an OCI team in the past where manager uses GC approval to threaten ICs.
In my case the law firm started the process automatically. They don't need any approvals from manager to start the case. But, then you manager has to provide documentation when needed.
The law firm won’t start the process unless they got the approved money order from your manager. They don’t work for free.
They have blanket budget approval employees. They need budget for new hires to start h1b transferm. Once you join, they initiate the process on their own. This is what happened for me.
It’s triggered on its own. No need of manager approval. Just work with attorney firm. At the time of h1b transfer oracle provide them open work order which include all your immigration related expense. So in other words the GC is pre approved once you joined.
I had the exact same experience
How much time does oracle take to h1b transfers ? I got an offer from oracle, can they do premium processing?
Did you get your verbal and written offer from oracle?
Depends on your manager,
Do they do it on f1 visa?
Why does your manager have to approve the green card? At every big company I’ve been in you just work with the immigration team. You don’t need approval or permission from your manager in my experience.
