I’ve just stumbled upon a senior data engineer opening at Roblox that states: Annual Salary Range $315,850—$383,910 USD Is this a TC (unusual in job descriptions) or a base salary (looks too good to be true)? If the latter, does Roblox offer notable RSU grants on the top of that? Also, how is WLB at Roblox? Are you required to be in the office every day or is 1-3 days a week acceptable? 10 yoe, TC 275
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
That base salary may be for principal. We also give good equity grants.
There is no annual bonus so salary tends to be on the high end.
Salary is very high because no bonus. Equity grants can be very generous so TC is indeed high. For this amount, if you're a provider engineer, it's doable to have a base in that range, with generous equity on top.

Welcome to Bay Area TC. Have you been living under a rock?
This is higher than most tech companies besides Netflix.
That’s not at all unusual if it’s TC, but if it’s base salary, it’s insanely high. I personally am not familiar with a company in the Bay that’ll pay that outside of Netflix and maybe OpenAI
