A while back I had a phone screen with Salesforce but I had an extremely unusual experience. I would take the day off but the interviewer kept on canceling citing “production issues”. So, for the 3rd attempt I took the interview during my lunch break. I didn’t want my teammates and manager get suspicious for taking random days off. He was very rude from the beginning. His questions were very random and ambiguous. I would clarify, write down the question with sample input and expected output. And ask if I could code. He then would say “sure”. I would code a solution. He’d change his mind and change the question. Repeat. I wanted to cut it short but he kept on talking and complaining about his team’s prod issues. Mentioned a very low salary range for that role. Now, I applied for a role that better fit my skills and interests but got rejected immediately. I applied for a second role: Right away, rejected. Is it just my imagination or did I get blacklisted? :( Is there a timeframe to reapply? Thanks for reading!
You are not black listed. They are not just hiring or some other reason.
There’s more to life than working for Salesforce.
True for any job.
Who cares, it’s Salesforce. You should blacklist them. Call that mess practice as you prep for the worthy companies. You got this.
Salesforce is a good company. Most people are happy here.
What interviewer did was wrong. We usually don't have such jokers. Just a bad apple in a crate of 30 K
I agree. People here are generally nice and professional. They wouldn't treat an interview candidate this way. Ask a friend to refer you OP. Salesforce is a good company.
I know it was an exception to the rule but now the burden is on me to prove that I’m a strong candidate. I have a friend who works at Salesforce so I’ll ask him for a referral. He is very happy there. That’s why I considered Salesforce in the first place. I’m fine at Amazon, but their insane work hours and their “Hunger Games” culture: kill or get killed are a lot to handle after a few years.
Salesforce was my best interview experience and everyone was super nice. I even reneged on my offer and everybody still wanted to stay in touch. No blacklisting. Just bad luck

I also had an experience with them. Hiring manager cancelled the phone screen saying he took golf Friday break. I was like WTF. Seems like he was not interested.
May be it's the same team. Manager went for golf leaving engineer to deal with prod issues.
BTW, my phone screen was cancelled two times with unacceptable reasons.
