Just finished my L4 onsite. The system design question was out of my experience and so tough I think I should start grinding educative. Leetcode questions and follow ups were done pretty well, the questions I got were practiced by me multiple times within the last month Does this sound like a downrank or reject? #uber
They didn’t tell me what the rounds would be. Never got back with feedback either.
Probably reject in this market
What was the system design question?
Reject
Downleveling is normal in these cases.
As a Bar Raiser myself, this is a possible scenario.
No we just reject.
In what situations do Uber down level then?
There really isn’t a downlevel per se. If you have X amount of years of experience and Y < X < Z and level XYZ requires between Y and Z years of experience and you’re at X and not meeting XYZ we usually reject due to lack of ability to grow. The only time this isn’t taken to account is L5a+ as L5a level is terminal.
