Does Uber have a recharge/sabbatical option?
Heard from someone that Uber has a sabbatical like Facebook. What are the details and how widely is it used? Thanks. TC : 280k

1 month paid after 5 years. Otherwise use unlimited vacay
Sure unlimited vacay is a myth at uber - my manager suspected me even if I take 1 day holiday , it was a hell at Uber
lolol it’s obvious unlimited vacation isn’t unlimited. Otherwise why’d you need a separate 5 months paid recharge? It could be taken from unlimited vacation, no?!?
None , if you recharge , you will be replaced - anyways everyone is gunning each other at Uber
Yes, we have a sabbatical. After 5 years, you get a one month paid sabbatical that comes with all the normal benefits and equity vesting as if you were still working. Also, we have unlimited vacation. Never had any issues taking time off when I needed it and we aren't pressured not to use it or anything as long as you're reasonable. Don't be trying to take like 1 month paid time off on a whim. A week or two here and there as well as Fridays/Mondays here and there plus holidays is totally cool. WFH as needed to sign for important packages or get something fixed in your house. OOO for important errands and whatnot. Pretty laid back.
