Does cisco give stocks to L8 or below?
My friend was negotiating with cisco HR and has been told that only above L8, are eligible for stocks, is it true?
Got a G8 offer recently and was told that stocks might be given later after the performance review.
Ohh, yes my friend has also been told that later they'll give stocks but not right now
In addition I got the base raised after refusing the first lowball offer.

Your friend should be a Grade 8. Grade 6 is for Masters and people with <2 YOE.
It may depend on the role, but for SE roles RSUs should be part of the package, both G06 and G08, even outside the Bay Area.
G06 no G08 maybe
This is for Bay Area- G6 also gets RSU’s. For g8 is a must- get max you can when you sign the offer. Once you get in there is little change of any hike/rsu.

Ask for rsu's, they will give it. Do not back down they'll always say they don't give stock but they can easily give you stocks. Cisco loves to low ball
It's G8, not L8. Meraki gave me RSU in my offer for G8.
