Does moving from TPM to SDM require an amendment to the H1B petition?
Looking to move to SDM. I am at Amazon. Will this result in a new petition to USCIS? Guideline is that if the job responsibilities overlap more than 50%, then a new petition is not needed. Please comment if you have been through this process before.
<50% change in job responsibilities, no amendment needed. You can send a detailed message with comparison between job responsibilities to your company attorney and ask next steps.
Very good question for Amazon attorney teams. If it is needed they will do it. Personally I would not take any risk on about H1B. Always consult company attorney and independent attorney to be sure.
