First time buyer and looking for an agent. I found a few online from different brokerages that seem good based on reviews and number of sales this year via Zillow. Does it matter if they are with Keller Williams, Berkshire, Compass, etc,? Do fancy brokerages cost more, or anything I should consider, or does brokerage name not matter as a buyer? #housing #mortgage
If you’re in an area where there’s MLS, which should be the case everywhere, all agents will have the same access to information. All brokerages and agents have access. There’s no such thing as “better connections” from a brokerage. The difference in brokerages is the amount of support they have for the agents. For example, big brokerages have people who help with paperwork and transactions, while small brokerages the real estate agent does it. That’s why big brokerages take a bigger cut out of the agents’ commission. Pick an agent not because of the brokerage they’re from. Also, one more note is that the “more connections” only helps when you’re talking off market deals. This only starts mattering at the super high price points.
Will keep this mind! Thank you

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
A little. Pick one that has a big name because they have more connections. You don't pay any fees as a buyer. When I bought with my agent from Keller Williams, we were able to get much better information from KW listings. Which area are you shopping?
Connections is a good point. I’m looking in Las Vegas There’s one person I like under KW.
Same here. Used kw and got lots of info about other kw listings
