Current TC: ₹35 LPA fixed [IND] YOE: 5.5 I am right now 28 years old and want to pursue MS. But I'm kind of confused. Is this the right age to pursue MS now? As I will be graduating at 30 and after paying loan at 31 will be starting again from 0. Also VISA stress and marriage problem (Yes, I want to be stable at the right time) after 31, all the struggle in the USA. Is it worth going for MS now considering my current salary in India. Also I could use these 3 years to build something of my own in India. How is the scenario in the USA right now and will be. VISA stress hyped or is the situation that much worse over there? Does American dream still exists? #MS #Software #Help #CS #Engineering #SDE #google #microsoft #faang #amazon #tech #graduation
On a similar boat, earning about 40Lpa in India but want to work in the US. If ever these guys will open L1 transfer would like to work for 5 years in US. Thinking masters will be waste of time and money.
Why the interest in moving to US ? Is it higher tc or travel or something else ?
Want to live in a first world country / western world for few years. Also want to do Bully Maguire dance walk in NYC with a black blazer.
Not for the Indian born Sorry! Dont come
In my opinion it's not worth rn due to the situation of visa and also the American dream is kinda dead it's better to be in India and enjoy life
Please suggest which tech stack pays alot nowadays, Thank you
That's Indian dream and not American dream
Didn’t you post this few days ago as well ?
Dont come !! Not worth it for you now. If you were 22 years old with a 0 net worth then it would have made sense .. now if you come to USA , you will late in everything with your contemporaries
Not worth it. Avoid visa nonsense at all costs. It is not hyped.. getting through lottery is an achievement. Last year there were 750k applications for 85k visas.. so do the math.. Also ppl are moving back from the US considering the gun violence and comparable TC/comfort being offered. Why would you want to go through that crap

Do you really feel special in your Tesla?
Every year almost 2 lac students are going to the US. And H1B limit is still 85k. Do the math.
I heard people play some tricks like 2nd masters to stay more than 5 years
Isn’t it easier to get work visa if you studied there, compared to those who move only for work ? Also, are you implying that 2L-85k = 115k students are returning to India after completing masters ?
