https://www.statista.com/statistics/311847/facebook-employee-ethnicity-us/ 7% of the US population is Asian. 13.6% is Black.
You know “asian” include Indians right? Also look at Amazon, Microsoft, etc, mostly Indians It is what it is 🤷
Indians are also Asians
🤮
Why is snap so grossed out? Seek help dumbfuck
NHL is 90%+ white.
Diversity is over rated. We need to folks to get shit done
Yeah but after a decade I'm tired of seeing the trope "Asians are smart!" Repeated. They're not, they're the same as anyone else.
Cope
"7% of the US population is asian" Asians don't get a US visa to come join the carpenters union. Non-native English speakers don't come to US universities to study English literature.
46.5%...do they count contractors in the Facebook employee count? If not then it's likely to be in the 70%s that are Asian. A definite bias. Facebook has had legal cases against them for not even considering US citizens for in-US jobs, preferring those on h1b only. Of course they want employees who are beholden to them for their visa. It's anticapitalism and antimarket to not even want US citizens to be able to compete for jobs in the US, but Facebook has gotten in trouble for that time and time again. See US Tech workers on X.
I think the reason there are so many H1Bs on a team is because they tend to hire each other. Ever notice that if a manager is Indian, it’s pretty likely most or all of the team is Indian?
What % of Asians have a Bachelor's? What % of them have masters? Don't try to alienate, try to learn.
Ok, what's your point?
It makes sense as soon as it's a software/engineer focused company
How does the company know which race each person is? I know I decline all inquiries to that.
What about NBA and NFL?
We need more basketball and hockey outreach programs
Semi-related and uninteresting note. I know people who worked with Jeremy Lin's mom (she worked at Sun Microsystems).
