I am on L2 dependent visa laid off few months back.i got 2 offers Vanguard:150k Walmart:180k I am inclined to join Vanguard due to personal reasons but recruiter is not giving much information about visa sponsorship. Can current/prev employee comment if they would file fresh H1b application Prev tc:240k Yoe:8 #h1b #workvisa #walmart #vanguard
They didn't discuss this with you on the initial phone screen? Right now there's a lot of cost cutting going on, many teams are shrinking so it's in the hiring manager's hands
Even vanguard is saving budget lol?
No it wasn't discussed in hiring process As I have L2 EAD so visa sponsorship is not required but for future I want to file H1b for myself to get independent from spouses visa. Should I ask my HM after 6-8 months
It’s very case by case for h1b. If the recruiter is being unclear then I would say it’s very unlikely
If you require sponsorship you wouldn’t get the job. I have heard that vanguard will sponsor on a case by case basis. So if you join, and perform well I think there is potential that they will sponsor you.
Case by case, clarify with the recruiter
Congratulations!! How was the interview process?
Not LC type. Java/Python and system design.
Thanks
