I’ve had Prime for over a decade. I don’t want to even think about how much money I spend with Amazon. Just got some dish soap delivered, wrong scent. Weirdly, it came from Walmart. Went to file complaint and get my expected immediate replacement. Instead met with “cool down” window asking me to reach out to seller and come back later if I’m still not happy. Seller is some no name “store”. Clearly some idiot just taking my Amazon order and then buying me the wrong thing at Walmart instead. Lmao. What a joke. My $20 household goods order should be fixed without me arguing over multiple days with multiple parties. No point spending annual fee for this.
Hard agree 🤷
Reconsider all subscriptions.
Yeah, this is another thing. I went through and spreadsheeted my yearly expenses recently even though I’m not super stretched thin, just the market downturn makes you more aware of spending. I had Prime as a “given” up there with internet and electricity and cell phone, but now I’m like “why is it a given I pay for Prime?” It’s not 2007, it’s easy to order things online these days.
The other day I had a delivery with Walmart packaging. Opened it and realized it’s the item that I ordered on Amazon. Looks like the gloves are coming off!
Why did you order from some random seller?
You do realize over half Amazon's sales come from third party sellers and not Amazon themselves, right? As someone who sells on Amazon, it's interesting to me how so many people don't know this by now
I agree with you that normally I would have looked out for this, but Amazon seems hellbent on moving away from being internet Target and instead being some bazaar of untrustworthy hucksters, so it’s sometimes easy to miss.
In India, I never buy from random saler. Some good seller ( Amazon with pseudo name) with Amazon prime only. In these cases customer support is handled by Amazon. Some cases direct brands are on Amazon and customer support is handled by Brand.
This. The product must be amazon fulfilled or flipkart assured when ordering in India.
Are you sure the 3rd party seller you got your goods from is actually Prime?
It probably wasn’t but the sellers blend together…regardless I want an Amazon where I don’t have to squint at every reorder to make sure it’s not some fake storefront.
Always check "Prime" toggle ON
LP#1: Customer Obsession. Problem is, the marketplace merchant is the customer in these cases.
I think this whole FBA thing has gotten out of hand. I’m all for 3rd party sellers, but this is getting ridiculous.
It might be the norm at dd to mess orders and then accuse customers of acting entitled..however amazon has a higher standard and ppl usually expect it to live up to it
