Recently went through the DoorDash NG loop. In each interview, I received one question and a follow up. I was able to optimally solve both original questions and one follow-up (although I wasn't able to test the follow up, interviewer confirmed logic was correct and that I wouldn't be penalized). I wasn't able to solve the other follow up even with hints from the interviewer. Can current interviewers at DD provide an idea of what the expectation is to get an offer? A little confused because others have received just two questions (no follow ups) and not sure whether it's good or bad that I got additional follow ups (even if I couldn't solve one). TC: 0
When I’ve interviewed and there’s parts missing I do try to throw some follow up questions to see if the interviewee is thinking thru it and just not elaborating. All DD interviews have traditionally have mini case study and take home exercises. Id say it’s all evaluated as part of the whole, so missing a few points isn’t gonna be a deal breaker
NG onsites are just two technical rounds so I think it may count for more here
Did you hear back?
What’s NG?
New grad
@op did you hear back?
Got rejected an hour ago
Oops! Sorry to hear that. Hope you get something better real soon!
Let me know when you hear back! I did the final recently as well and solved both questions optimally but the interviewers didn’t even ask any follow ups. Thanks!
Sure, when'd you have your final btw and how long did you have left in the interview after finishing each question?
Final wqs friday. Had a couple mins left after first one and about 12 mins left after the second one. When was yours?
