DoorDash mock interview

Having interviews coming up for a non tech senior manager role in their consumer org. Would love to exchange mock interview in behavioral/case strategy with peers. And especially with those who are/were from DoorDash or recently got their offers, i’ll buy you dinner via DoorDash😅 Please dm and i’ll send calendar, prefer this weekend. Also, anyone can share insight in what type of question to expect? Thanks! #doordash #tech #interview

Consumer org = Marketing? Not very clear. Anyways, for my S&O interview (same level) One case was ‘why has growth slowed down’ - analyze factors etc Another case - if I only had 24hrs to launch a city, how would I go about it Rest all were simple behavioral. I was asked a couple of qs on what are your thought on this and that (my specific role)

Thanks! It’s in S&O as well on the consumer side. Did you end up joining them? Any resource to read up and practice interview that you used? Appreciate your sharing.

Tbh I dint really prepare much. These scenarios were part of my regular job. Might be thats the reason I was asked. Good luck. Don’t stress.

I cleared a phone screen, take home project next.

I recently passed the s&o interviews at the manager level. Not sr manager but maybe this will help a little? Overall the case questions weren't that difficult. I jotted down my notes and then responded when I was ready. Didn't get any surprising questions for the behaviorals. Some examples: Competing priorities, dealing with conflict, handling multiple stakeholders, working with cross functional teams, building relationships, leading a project with little resources. Some more situational/case questions: determining milestones for a particular product launch, what to do when a goal wasn't met.

I heard the questions were more situational about different scenarios you could be in with the new role, and less looking backward?

I think I just remembered the behavioral questions more because I am used to answering them - also this is from several diff people not one call. I don't remember all the situational ones they asked me, but I think it was about equal for both types of Qs for each interview.

Oh for Sr Manager role you ll get a few D&I questions. This was the only part of the interview where I felt the interviewers were BS-ing, the interviewers felt I was BS-ing But we kind of acknowledged each other’s BS, realized we gotta do this for the process and left it at that!

Stackline djsatwjdi OP Jan 21, 2022

that would be for onsite right? wonder what sort of questions could it be to bs?😅

Mine was as a leader how do you ensure diversity and inclusion in your workplace! Took a min to gather my best thoughts and then just spewed shit for 3 mins.

Thanks a lot OP for starting this thread and to everyone that responded. In the same boat as OP (though it seems to be for a different org in DoorDash). All this was really helpful. Any more tips/questions to add? OP - can you please let us (or me via DM if you don’t want to share publicly) your interview experience and what you were asked? Thanks!
