Glassdoor gives a pretty good lense into the company. Read both the positive and negative to get an overall picture. I haven’t heard anything amazingly horrible either way
Walmart -> Doordash. At least you’re trending in the right direction.
I agree ☝️
Walmart india has better work than Microsoft. I worked in both for good amount of years.
If you like companies than can turn $2 dollars into $1 dollar over and over again, Doordash is for you
hahaha
Found the future startup CFO! Boom!
DoorDash is buying a dollar by paying $2 and telling investors that in the long run, it’ll be profitable. If you think they are right join them
They are already profitable. What nonsense is this. Are you all just quoting one article that talked about a single edge scenario? Seriously 😂
I believe they have positive cash-flow and they might be EBITDA profitable but they are not profitable afaik.
Was there at an interview (not tech job). Got a very strong feel of an early stage start up culture. Everyone mostly very young, very crowded office and looked very disorganized to me, at the interview team openly shared they overtime a lot (like for real - a lot). If you are used to working in a well established public company - may be a bit rough. Depending on your preferences and life stile
Spot on. My interview there was extremely disorganized and everyone I met there was a fucking kid that only hacks crap. I stormed out in the middle of my interview and said "no thanks". The recruiter followed up the next day and I provided an honest polite feedback FWIW.
Yeah, non-tech orgs are all run by longtime DD folks who just promote their comrades. That’s where I’ve worked. Can be good or bad depending on the team. It’s either for you or not and either is okay. @freakstyle: storming out mid-interview reflects more poorly on you then the interviewers. I’m sure your “honest polite feedback” was well received
Having worked at eats and seen a ton of friends go from Eats -> DD, I would avoid. I would take over Walmart but I would avoid if possible.
Why is having friends moving from eats to DD a reason to avoid it? Are ur friends suck at coding thus they moved?
Sorry I wasn’t clear. I have friends with experience. From their experience relayed to me, I would avoid.
> any tips? If we give you tips, DoorDash might steal them
😂
@salesforce - wow, that still hurts. :(
Be prepared for a LC hard on your phone screen
I already got the offer.

Don't come! Many junior engineers and low quality code. You might be burned out by cleaning the shit code here..
That was true 1.5 years ago. Since then we've hired only senior engineers and the balance has shifted to seniority in the engineering org... so much so that the junior folks are complaining to leadership why we aren't hiring "young blood" anymore.
Tons of shit code..
Don't join, it's a dumpster 🔥. They have Directors for SWE with 3+ YOE
Wow I see what you mean. Director at DD is like tech lead at other places 😂. What do they do that’s bad?
"Director at DD is like tech lead at other places" That is such BS! You clearly know nothing about DD.
