So I’m a freshman pursuing a BEng in Software Engineering at a canadian school and I currently have the option of doing a double degree to get my BEng degree and a BBA in only 5 years or I can to a shortcuted Masters in 5 years. Which one is better or maybe I should just normally finish my 4 year BEng degree. TC 20k
Waterloo and Laurier? I did CS DD at Waterloo and Laurier, I did not know there was a BEng option now though. Pretty much everyone I know from CS DD is very successful, there are at least 3 others at Snap and at least 5 at Amazon and at least 10 among other FAANGMULA
Haha I know they offer it too but no Im at Polytechnique Montreal and the BBA is at HEC. I wish I was at waterloo though :(
Ah I don't know much about that one, what I can tell you is that I do not actually use my business degree at all so although I do recommend the UW DD program in general I would not necessarily recommend focusing on getting the business degree over doing your best possible on the CS/engineering side if that makes sense.

Screw it. Don't care anymore. Let Israel take it. One state solution.
The integrated degree if you want to be an engineer. The double degree if you want to work in business with a credible engineering background. Note that getting an MBA will be inevitable for the 2nd option.
Thank you I really appreciate your insights. What would you say is the best option if I want to try my luck in quant, considering the MS can be in Math or statistics not necessarily in Soft Eng.
Quant to me says you want to be an engineer. Bba or mba will not have as much math.
