How does Dropbox 7k perk work? Do employees get access to all 7k in one go, or does it vest quarterly? Also can it be used on anything? I want to get a personal laptop for example, can it be used? #dropbox

it is basically wfh stipend. The rollover comment can be misleading. If you donโt spend your 1750 at quarter 1, it is reset at the beginning of next quarter. But you are allowed to spend more than $1750 at quarter 1, in which case, you will basically use next quarterโs credit
Do employees get access to all 7K in one go? No, its split across 4 Qs It can be used for pretty much everything which keeps you healthy, sane and productive including but not limited to groceries, food deliveries, health subscriptions/gym, co-working space, office equipment... Coffee machine... You name it! One caveat though: only office equipment is NOT Taxable, everything else you can safely assume you will get 60% of the amount you request the reimbursement for. The 1750, you get on the first day of the quarter or on joining. If you dont use that before last day of the calendar quarter, you lose that money. To counter that, lot people will submit a big expense say 2000-3000 all together to get the reimbursement at once! Your 1750 does not roll over into the next quarter but you can submit claims in your current quarter gor future quarters as long as they are in the same calendar year. Personal Laptop? You can but you will be taxed on that, so if you claim $2000 worth of laptop, you are probably getting $1200-1300 as these are non-tax deductible item.

No but you can easily spend the 1750 on things you need anyways like groceries/food etc and use your actual money for anything you want
