Yes.. here we go again. I was already looking through some existing posts, but would like to have some more input on what to expect in terms of phone screen + on-site for a frontend role @ Dropbox. Leetcode heavy? JS heavy? A mix of JS, HTML, CSS and system design for on-site?
Is this you? https://www.rooftopslushie.com/request/Dropbox-Frontend-Interview-507
No, but saw this before posting.
No. No. Yes. No leetcode. Questions are easy, but bar for a “good solution” is higher.
I shouldn’t have to say this, but know vanilla JavaScript and HTML. Nothing more painful than watching a person who only knows of HTML as Angular directives. There is also an architecture design question.
This. Even though everyone in the industry pretty much works with a code editor in one monitor, and stack overflow in another, that doesn’t excuse you from knowing JS, HTML and CSS. I’ve seen people not know how to push an item onto an array without help. Or don’t know the difference between for in and for of, so we waste time during interview trying to find/fix an avoidable bug. (Don’t get fancy. Just stick with standard for loop if you don’t know the difference) If you want interview practice, write out the code from scratch that you normally copy and paste. It builds muscle memory.
No leetcode, all JS, CSS and HTML
