How’s the culture and WLB at Dropbox? I’m going to be interviewing with them for a non-tech role. Is their compensation & benefits package competitive? Any insight is appreciated:-)
WLB best in the business. FAANG-tier compensation (below nflx, on par with fb, above apple amazon google). Benefits are amazing
Thanks!
WLB is amazing. People are great. Comp is great.
This is great to hear. Thank you!
Great WLB, great comp, and the company at least seems to really care about people. I’ve only been here since the beginning of the year, and the Dropbox Blind is pretty negative, but I think it’s mostly people who are upset about losing the Tuck Shop and excellent campus. So far, I haven’t had a single moment where I’ve regretted my choice. I went from L5 at AWS with TC around 225 (in 2019, would have been higher with stock growth) to IC3 at Dropbox with 340k TC.
What’s the “Tuck Shop”? And do you know if Dropbox adjusts comp based on cost of living?
Tuck Shop was the cafeteria. Was apparently the best in the Bay Area. Pay is adjusted, yes. Existing grants aren’t, but base (thus also bonus) is. We’ve got a calculator that gives you an estimate based on your existing base. There seem to be three tiers within the US, and it would be about a 10% cut to move from the top tier to the second tier, or a 20% cut to move to the third tier.
Anyone know how long a rejection/acceptance post onsite takes?
7k of annual wellness benefits on top of your total comp has been pretty dope
