1. “We’re sunsetting the monthly company PTO days" 2. "We’re changing the perks allowance from $1,750/quarter to $1,250/quarter" 3. "We’re changing our parental leave policy from 24 weeks for all parents to 20 weeks for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers" "We’re reallocating some of these funds to help us accelerate our efforts to become an AI-first company"
Awkward moment when your entire platform is obsolete
Awkward that Workday is in the same boat 🙈 but agreed, Dropbox won’t survive next 5 years
Look at Dropbox financials and Workday financials and come back to me
I thought Dropbox was dead.
They claim to have over 700M users.
How is an irrelevant product like this still around?
Who still uses dropbox?
Me
Me. I feel it is much better than any other storage provider.
How does DropBox even make money? Prayers to the engineers still there
It's pretty niche. But can't compete with Google Drive and One Drive in terms of costs.
Prayers? Lol it’s high TC
Last thing I need is Dropbox doing anything AI related to my files
Exactly
Brace for layoffs
Dropbox just did layoffs like 2 months ago
What is monthly company PTO days? And what is perks alllowance $?
Company PTO days: Free PTO day every month for whole company. Perks allowance: Quarterly allowance that you can use on pretty much anything. Just need to send a receipt.
That is sweet
Surely a chat interface to your cloud hard drive will save them
Dropbox is one of those companies that I'm just shocked is still around. Wish folks the best
What about Box? Security-wise, I think they have the same certifications
I’m just suffering Box’s sync issue every single day so I vote down for Box
