Drug Testing for Financial Analyst

So I'm no junkie but I do smoke weed occasionally...For Financial Analyst positions do they test for marijuana? If you test positive for this are you out of the running? Do you need to stop all together? What's the general rule of thumb?

My friend stopped smoking weed for 2 months before he started the job just in case if they do drug tests. He is a financial analyst

Sort of explains all the bad decisions you see some financial analysts make huh.

Weed is for losers. Just stop being a loser for a few months while you're job searching.

Fake news

Well, an 8 panel drug test is like $15. Do companies want to save $1 to skip the weed test? Maybe. But it's easier for a job seeker to get better pay if they have multiple offers. OP says he/she is not a junkie, so if they want to make the most money then they shouldn't disqualify themselves for a few hours of giggles.

Just be honest about it. They cannot reject pureley because of that (and they know it) but if you lie thats a good reason. (And usually they dont check against thc since the test cannot differentiate residual and active subatance and 4-6 weeks the flushing time)

From which region of your ass did you pull this misinformation out of?

MSCI janinja Jun 7, 2019

The residual and how the test works? Google that. Where i live recreational is legal, a company can present a code or ethical norms, can define conditions or behaviors that are expected and demanded to fill a role, but they cannot discriminate based on a test that shows on 4-6 weeks horizon one time usage. Btw this is the law, you are getting the test on the first day of work and not in the interview process, if not, you can sue. I follow it and in colorado the suprene ruled for it (you can be fired for offtime usage) but let me put it this way, I'd rarher not work for a compant who actually rejects because or fire me because of this whatever is the official reason of the rejection. On the other hand if you lie and a test shows positiv and thats how you are fired or got rejected, i see it differently, and we will see in the soon future how the supreme courts will see it around the country. (I help, the lie will happen against your employer and in working conditions and smoking weed will happen with your buddys, in off hours, )

Your in finance bro, you should be popping Addys not smoking pot. Some people have no self respect. smh

First Republic Ariselu Jun 8, 2019

@OP respectfully, you have a drug problem. You know this is true because you’re struggling with choosing your recreational/destructive drug addiction over your future and livelihood. You can lie to yourself but the fact that you’re even asking the question sort of proves that it’s true. If you don’t want to worry about drug tests go work at McDonald’s or mow lawns. Because that’s where you little weed addiction will lead you.
