Definitely join NOW. Quite a few people have actually left Sickday to join NOW. Don’t believe their jokes about great WLB and culture. This was only true for the lucky few in past years and definitely ain’t true anymore. Carefully read the horrible stories on Glassdoor and should help you pick NOW as the “winner”!
One thing you may want to consider is how flexible SN is with respect to choosing remote vs hybrid. Workday has not been too cool in this aspect. Not sure what’s service now take there. And also agree with above ☝️ on WLB but I hear on blind that service now may not be any different either. You may also want to check the leveling because P4 is a very wide band at workday.
I mean staff is higher level than senior. You will likely have bigger scope at servicenow but for less pay. You can make principal at workday and make more than you do at servicenow whereas you probably already hit ceiling as an IC at servicenow. Easily workday for future promo. You’re capped at servicenow. Not to mention workday refreshers are 40-60% of initial grant and stacking. Op what’s your offer breakdown for both?
WLB & culture is good at both companies. The problem with P4 workday is your salary will be stuck for years unless you move to P5 which is a HUGE jump at workday. You can be stuck here making outdated salary for years without a promotion. In 5 years you can be making less than someone with couple years of experience out of college

That’s by design! 😁 The entire non-transferable proprietary tech platform was meant to trap those who stay for too long and can’t program in “real” languages anymore. The long timers are stuck so no need to increase their pay to keep them around.

Workday had to introduce bonuses this year because SN had been doing it for years. SN has better pay and stock performance, but no wlb compared to slacker-day.
Workday introduced bonuses because they’re industry standard (and we can afford it now 😉) To say that we did it just because SN did is pretty absurd 😂

Something to add so that you can decide well. Workday offers refreshers every year equal to 50-100% of your initial grant. 10% cash bonus introduced from this quarter. Typical p4 base is 154k to 230k based on YOE, initial grant would be 100 to 150% if base. Sign on 10k-35k depending on role. Great WLB and generous PTO. App dev not much growth but anything else is good imo.
