Hi folks, I had the fortune of having my EB1-A and EB2-NIW petitions approved recently. I decided to move forward with the EB1-A interview as my PD is current. Does anyone have experience with the EB1-A consular interview? If not the consular, then the AOS one? I'm trying to determine how to best prepare, what to expect, etc. My counsel is pretty good and they're prepping me and all, but I strongly believe that there is no such thing as overkill when it comes to US immigration π I met 5 EB1-A criteria, so I imagine that I should be ready to discuss each in depth each, right? Background: director of engineering at a startup, based in Germany, TC ~$280K. Thanks! PS: Has anyone used this Argo interview coaching service (or similars)?
You will be asked to demonstrate those five extraordinary abilities in under 5 minutes to the consular officer. I kid. Itβs just a regular interview. Nothing specific to EB1A. They will ask you about your background, family, intentions of working/living in America. Just relax and enjoy.
Why there is interview
This seems to be a relatively new development as I understand it. I heard that they are waiving some interviews, but I am preparing for the worst. Makes sense?
Did you go through L1 -> EB1 route?
