Is it just me or is anyone else thinking, with the SAG-AFTRA strike, UPS strike, politicians being millionaires and old AF, inflation, and the rest of this dumpster fire that the 2020’s have been, that we’ll see a big shift in policy change, and wealth will be redistributed from the top 1% to the rest of companies’ employees (e.g., the CEO can’t make X% more than the lowest paid employee) within the next decade?
In 2010 we had the occupy Wall Street protests. Basically the same idea. We hate the 1%. They got rich while we all got fucked in last recession. 10 years later another cycle of fuckery and we’re worse off than before.
Yeah, but 10 years ago the same ppl were in power. In 10-15 years the gov should be filled with gen X and millennials… so are we just as bad as them?
30k+ a year puts you in top 1% of world’s population financially. Are you including yourself among the rich who you are against?
Trends tend to continue - great wealth disparity, greater discontent
After recent events I've started to reconsider my relative avoidance of unions as a tool for tech workers to support each other. I think many others have as well.
You idiot if you work in tech you ARE the rich and you would be first to be killed off in a communist uprising
THIS
We’re wagies like anyone else 😂
I wish but the system is terminal at this point and will only get worse
Things that get worse eventually break
Everyone should read capital in the 21st century
Nothing works until we got unions strong
