I joined Meta about 9 months back as a PM and I am on a h1b visa with November 2014 priority date. Meta does not seem to be making progress with filing my Perm and I was told this week that the immigration team will not even start working on my file until august next year. But they did not seem certain of that timeline as well. If eb2 india is not going to move for another 5-7 years I can continue working with meta. What are the chances that eb2/3 india will reach November 2014 in the next 3-5 years taking into account splill over from other categories and duplicate applications between eb2 and eb3. #workvisa #h1b #greencard
Honestly 3-5 years
Tc dropped to 260k with the stock falling
Is there a timeline link you can share ?
You are a PM. That's a functional management position. You will qualify for EB1c if you go to Canada now and transfer back after 1 year. EB1c will also retrogress by the time you come back but not as far back as 2014.
I did consider that, but have a 3 year old daughter and pregnant with my second. So will be hard to manage 2 kids by myself for a year. If there is a chance of my priority date becoming current in 3-5 years I might have to move from meta
When you say Aug next year, do you mean Aug 2024?
It will happen in 3-5 years if not earlier. What’s the filing date for ead? Also helpful to get away from the constant stamping need
Filing date is 2012, and yeah agree that even if we can eiliminate stamping it will be super helpful
Firstly because meta had layoffs they can't file perm or gc. Second to answer your question, I won't be surprised if it moves to 2016 this year. While other might find it shocking, the backlog and duplicate counter and layoffs all combined mean it should reach mid 2015 again * if the 197000 gcs are fully given out
Thank you for your response. But with the row demand being high eb2/3 india may not benefit from too many spillover green cards correct ?
haha, you must be one of the followers of the Equinox guy from Trackitt who is spreading hopium.
Yeah! I feel the same way but the last time I felt this way and changes jobs my priority date was current and I missed the opportunity to file for my 485
