Hi all What is the expected salary for Engineering Program Manager with 6 years of experience?
At Microsoft the important thing is level and as I've observed, some people ascend faster than others. Assuming someone came in from college, with an average of one promotion every 18 months, but then the pm gets tired after the 5th year so they stretch out that final promotion, that's 3 promotions. Assuming the base was college hire (at Microsoft that is level 59) that makes the pm at a level 62 which is a solid pm2 about to become a senior pm. They'd probably be at about 150k/year at Microsoft before bonus and stock awards.
Is it same as technical program manager? Just curious because you tagged “product management”.
